From survival to sustainability: restoring dignity, building businesses, and empowering generations.
New Hope Nigeria exists to bring the love of Christ to the most vulnerable in Nigeria by breaking cycles of poverty and hopelessness across generations.
It all started when we began supporting a single family in Nigeria, offering financial assistance and hoping to help them become self-sufficient.
New Hope Nigeria exists to bring the love of Christ to the most vulnerable in Nigeria by breaking cycles of poverty and hopelessness across generations. In partnership with local churches, we provide food, clothing, and shelter for those in need while offering education for both children and adults. We equip adults with business skills, financial training, and startup aid to launch sustainable livelihoods, creating pathways out of poverty. Our mission is to restore dignity, build opportunity, and raise up a new generation of hope—rooted in faith, empowered by education, and prepared to thrive.
We envision a Nigeria where poverty and hopelessness are broken, where families thrive with dignity, and where every child has access to education and opportunity. Through the transforming power of Christ, we see generations equipped with faith, knowledge, and resources to build strong communities and a future filled with hope.
Jesus Christ is the foundation of all we do. Our work flows from the gospel and points people to the hope, dignity, and restoration found in Him alone.
We believe love must be lived. We serve practical needs—food, shelter, education, and skills training—while honoring the spiritual worth of every individual.
God’s Word guides our decisions, relationships, and stewardship. We are committed to truth, transparency, and faithfulness in all areas of ministry.
We work alongside local churches and believers, strengthening their efforts rather than replacing them. We believe sustainable change happens through community and discipleship.
Every person is created in the image of God. We serve with humility, respect, and a commitment to restoring identity, hope, and purpose—not fostering dependence.
We honor God by stewarding resources wisely. We value transparency, responsibility, and faithfulness in managing donations, programs, and relationships.
We believe education and practical skills are powerful tools for long-term transformation. We equip individuals to build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.
We stand with believers facing hardship and persecution, offering encouragement, prayer, and support—trusting God to bring fruit even in difficult places.
New Hope Nigeria began with a simple yet powerful mission: to empower and uplift families in need, rather than creating dependency. It all started when we began supporting a single family in Nigeria, offering financial assistance and hoping to help them become self-sufficient.
As we worked alongside them, we realized that simply providing aid wasn’t enough. We aimed to help them build sustainable livelihoods. We tried to establish businesses and even explore agricultural opportunities, such as farming and poultry. However, challenges arose, including interference from local tribes that hindered agricultural efforts.
Recognizing these obstacles, we shifted our focus towards business development. We supported the family in starting two different businesses, but we discovered that a lack of education and training made it difficult for these ventures to succeed.
This experience led to the founding of New Hope Nigeria. Our mission evolved to not only provide immediate relief but also to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for long-term independence. From assisting one family, we have now expanded our reach to help four families and counting. We also partner with local churches to foster community-wide financial security and empowerment.
Today, New Hope Nigeria provides monthly food support and is working towards establishing educational programs that teach financial literacy, business skills, and provide startup funding. Our goal is to support these families and communities not just in the beginning, but throughout their journey to self-reliance, making sure they are firmly established before exiting the program.
